Connect Intercom. WPOS puts the Messenger on your site and wires your forms into it.

Link your Intercom account once, then describe what you want. A WPOS AI agent deploys the Intercom Messenger across your WordPress site and sets up a background sync so contact-form submissions flow into Intercom as contacts — all in plain English, on your own site and hosting.

The problem

Two moving parts to wire, and one of them quietly breaks

Getting Intercom onto a WordPress site usually means pasting the Messenger boot script into a theme file or a header plugin, then bolting on a second integration to push form leads into Intercom — two moving parts to wire and maintain by hand.

Every theme update risks knocking the snippet loose, and the form-to-Intercom hop is the piece that quietly breaks. You wanted the Messenger live on every page and your contact submissions landing in Intercom, without babysitting either.

How it works

From OAuth to live chat and a wired-up form

  1. 01

    Connect your Intercom account

Open Settings and then Connectors, and connect Intercom. It runs a standard OAuth handshake — you authenticate on Intercom, authorize the requested scopes, and land back in WordPress with a green Connected card. Auth is brokered by the connector; no API keys are pasted into your theme. Intercom is one of 18 supported WPOS connectors.

  2. 02

Deploy the Messenger across the site

Ask WPOS to add live chat. It adds the Intercom Messenger boot script to every front-end page as a managed snippet — no theme-file edits, no header plugin. In the demo the Messenger widget rendered bottom-right on the live site, and a reply typed in the Intercom inbox appeared in the on-site widget in real time.

  3. 03

    Wire contact submissions into Intercom

Ask WPOS to send form leads to Intercom. It builds a background sync — a WP-Cron job that reads each new contact submission and pushes it to Intercom as a contact plus a note. In the demo it inspected the live connection to find the workspace, then wrote and deployed the sync against your contact endpoint.

What you can do

What the Intercom connector actually does

Everything below is what happened in the recorded demo — no projected numbers.

Messenger on every page

WPOS deploys the Intercom Messenger boot script site-wide as a managed footer snippet, so live chat loads on every front-end page with no theme edits. In the demo the widget rendered on both the home and contact pages the moment the snippet went live.

Contact submissions into Intercom

Connect your Intercom account and WPOS sets up a background sync so each contact-form submission is pushed to Intercom as a contact and a note. The sync runs on WP-Cron against your own form endpoint — the plumbing is built for you rather than assembled from a second plugin.

Native form pipeline included

WPOS builds the contact side too — a custom post type to store submissions and a validated REST endpoint to receive them — so the form, its storage and the Intercom hand-off are one coherent pipeline. In the demo it stood up the whole path in a single session.

Two-way live chat

Because the real Messenger runs on the site, replies you send from the Intercom inbox reach the visitor on the page. In the demo, a message typed in the Intercom inbox showed up live in the on-site widget with a Not seen status — the loop closed end to end.

No theme surgery

Everything Intercom-related ships as managed snippets and blocks, not hand-pasted script tags. Nothing lives in a theme file that a future update can knock loose, and every piece stays visible and editable in WordPress.

Verified execution

Every snippet WPOS deploys is checked for clean execution before it reports done. In the demo the PHP snippets ran with zero recorded errors across the init and rest_api_init hooks, and the build was re-verified on the live pages.

Bring your own Intercom account, and add its API token to go live. WPOS connects to your existing Intercom through its connector — one of 18 supported tools — and builds the sync for you, but the submission push into Intercom only starts moving real data once your Intercom API token is set. In the demo the token was still pending, so the sync was deployed and verified as running while submissions were stored locally, ready to flow the moment the token lands. Everything WPOS builds is native WordPress, fully editable, on your own site and hosting — it’s not a host and doesn’t lock you in.

Read the docs

With WPOS you connect your Intercom account once in Settings and then Connectors — a standard OAuth flow that ends with a Connected card. From then on you describe what you want in the WPOS chat, and the agent deploys the Messenger and sets up the form sync as native WordPress. No script pasted into your theme and no separate header plugin.

Yes. WPOS adds the Intercom Messenger boot script to every front-end page as a managed snippet, so live chat loads site-wide with no theme-file edits. In the demo the widget rendered bottom-right on the live pages, and an inbox reply appeared in the on-site widget in real time.

It sets up the sync for you: a WP-Cron background job that reads each new contact submission and pushes it to Intercom as a contact and a note. The job is built and verified as running when the connection is in place — real data starts flowing once your Intercom API token is added, so submissions are stored safely until then.

No. WPOS connects to Intercom directly through its connector and ships the Messenger and the sync as managed WordPress snippets, so there’s no separate live-chat or lead-forwarding plugin to install and maintain. Everything it builds is standard WordPress you can open and edit in your normal editor.

Yes. The Messenger loads from a managed snippet WPOS controls, not a hand-pasted tag in a theme file, so a theme or template change won’t knock it loose. The snippet stays visible and editable in WordPress.
